Film

The process of film making has evolved into an art form and industry since Louis and Auguste Lumiere hosted the first public movie screening at the Hotel Scribe in Paris in 1895.

It was not until World War I that the film industry in the United States began to flourish attracting the world's most influential actors, directors and producers to Hollywood; including Charlie Chaplin, considered by Bernard Shaw to be "the only genius to come out of the movie industry." With his creativity he provided laughter and entertainment during the war and the great depression influencing some of the great actors and directors, such as Frederico Fellini, Marcel Marceau, Peter Sellers and Johnny Depp.
